Ok so an ispirational or practitioner that i love or hate.

It could be the wrong way to look at this but i decided to think of a piece of design i liked first rather than an actual person. One piece of design i think stands head and sholders above anything else in its category is the iPod.

Jonathan Ive is the senior vise president of industrial design at Apple and is the principle designer of the iMac, iPhone, iPod, MacBook, MacBook Pro and the PowerBook G4.

The reason i have chosen Jonathan Ive is that i think his designs are so different, original and incredibly simple but still result in the product working fantasically. Whenever a new Apple product is released i cant wait to get down to an apple shop to have a look, feel and play with it. Call me sad but i just think that Apple design is better than any other.

For this reason i have chosen the main designer of the iPod Jonathan Ive as a sort of inspiration. If i was to design a product i would take the simplicity features of Apple's products into consideration.

Design Methodologies

I was in Chris Cooks One shot short seminar and this describes the design process of my groups short film.

Discovering
The main inspiration we had to make our one shot short was a specific location. One member of the group had recently visited the galleries of justice and told us about a brilliant coutroom that would be a great location for our film. When we had an idea of the location the whole group pitched different suggestions for camera movements and different characters. One way of us coming up with the idea of a point of view short was by watching other short films. We sat and brainstormed for a while until we had an idea we were all happy with, the idea of having the entire film in point of view was a favourite with everyone.

Developing
After choosing our idea we went to the galleries of justice to book our location. There was a fee but this allowed us to begin filming at 9 sharp the next day. we had an hour to film which was plenty as we had allready planned our film.

to be continued.......
